One page per habit, with all 365 days on it: twelve columns for the months, a box for every day. Set a monthly goal and a reward for each habit, plus one big reward for the whole year. Then print it. Free, no sign-up, saved in this browser.
Prints portrait, one page per habit. Hatched boxes are days that don't exist (like February 30).
A monthly tracker starts blank every few weeks. On a yearly page the boxes you filled in March are still in front of you in October. Gaps show up as white columns, and a good month shows up as a solid one. The monthly goal keeps it forgiving: 20 days out of 30 still counts, so one bad week never ruins the year.
Monthly rewards work best small and specific: a new book, a dinner out, a class you've wanted to try. The yearly one can be the thing you'd otherwise buy on impulse: new running shoes, a weekend away, a gadget. There are more in 70 ways to reward yourself. For one habit at a time, try the 30-day challenge tracker; for several habits on one sheet, the monthly printable habit tracker.
Habit Rewards is the app version of this idea, for iPhone and Android. You tick off habits, each one pays coins, and you spend the coins on rewards you set yourself. It also keeps your streaks and sends reminders.
